Yeah, the only thing I'll be running is from the debt collector once I'm done outfitting my truck :lalala:

This would be nice but everything and anything worth driving to is 2+ hours away from Toronto roughly or further.

Yep you have to live up here in the North to be able to just go play in the bush anytime.

Any body up for manitoulin island OVERLAND trip?

I’d like to go next year, take the ferry and all, but its good to book it in advance. Thinking thursday-sunday. Afternoon ferry from tobermory. Camp Thursday night, all day friday and Saturday to explore and home sunday.

Gauging interest in this? Not much offroading really from what i can gather, more just travelling and camping like swisha.

Totally understandable and figured as much! Just out of curiosity - whenever I do a few google searches, some guys on a few other forums talk about this area in Mississauga near a coca cola factory? All posts are from like 2011-2016, then go cold after that...I assume the area wasn't public and access got shut down? If anyone knows about that..

Thanks for the response. I might check it out but I don't want to be that jackass who ruins it. I'll leave that to the others :anonymous:

up for it. Depends though as a west coast trip may be happening. I have the "Northshore" route from the Ontario overland group.

The group on “Ontario overland” did a route called the north shore Route which they made via the backroad map books if I remember correctly.

    where abouts in Toronto?

and as @Ttaco15 said you gotta drive a bit for the good stuff.
We've done Minden as day runs before not really much of an issue. there's trails around bobcaygen as well that you could do as a day run.

as long as we, or more so I, can stop and put some paddling in. Or you guys could rent or bring your own and join in?

Legit just want to do some paddling up there, some gorgeous waters to explore.
