Man this looks pretty sweet! No armor and P-rated falkens probably exclude me from this go around lol. Also the fact that I’m hoping to be buying a house in this timeframe.

I have Prated tires as well and no armor, will attempt it tho. If I can't go through some spots I'll just find a bypass, or make one :sawzall:

Yeah the more I think about it the more I wanna give it a whirl. Someone had mentioned rear bumper clearance issues and I don’t have the budget for one, so I was thinking of pulling off the stock one and rigging something up out of an oak 6x6.

I believe the place where a rear bumper clearance is needed is in the washout. This road is used often by forestry workers and also hunters, and maybe outfitters. The city don't have enough money to repair the road, but people who use it have enough tools and ressources to make a bypass haha. I don't really think we will get stuck in a dead end.

Keep the bumper and worse case is you will get it taken off automatically. Good chance it will be ok though. I haven't been there so I'm assuming here.

In my opinion armor can take a back seat. You really want good tires as a lot of sections are very rocky

Well damn you have convinced me lol. I think if a stock Silverado and F-150 can make it my lil truck oughta do just fine. Mind adding me to the list?

So I think based on the amount of people way will most likely be splitting the run up so it’s not too congested on the trail.

May have a more capable group and a group that isn’t as capable. Again we have time to figure it out.

I would suggest having at least one capable truck and person in each group.

dunno how much that would really help as you still will have the bed pretty low. and if you get rid of bumper I think you'd lose tow hook no? so no more rear recovery point.

See I don’t have a receiver so no current rear recovery. Bootleg wooden bumper would have provisions for attaching a shackle.

Interested in a run for trucks with little prep. Kemosabe as per my PM maybe we can change the route to bypass the wash? Interested in doing recce at some point to look for alternate routes.
Also late summer/early fall may be a superior time to attempt this as water is highest in the spring due to snow melt and bugs at the absolute worst.
    Much less bugs in sept.
    just sayin :)
