2012 ARE DCU contractor cap, Transmission aftercooler kit (Iconic Fabrication & Hayden 698), Bed Stiffeners (Kwikfab LLC), Firestone airbag leaf springs, wye connector and pressure gauge, Tailgate security mod (mfgr. by Christian06 on TW), OEM mud flaps, OEM tailgate electronic lock, Tow-Pro Elite Electric Brake Controller, Anytime Backup Camera hardwired 42 ft to camper, RCI Alum. Skid plates & cat covers, 2WD LO mod (BB Tuning), Fumoto oil drain, ECT Always-On Mod (hardness by Funman1steve), 6awg DC DC tow charger wiring, inline 60 amp breakers & battery terminals, Kill switch, KJTO driver side grab handle, Hood hold open gas struts, Scangauge III, Seat Covers (Seat Covers Unlimited... wearing poorly),
Has anyone rewired the third party switch (CH4 or AOB) so it does NOT light up except when ON?

The 2WD LO mod is teriffic for maneuvering my camper and for Crawl mode on my son's rocky farm road.
Four times in a few months I've had Axle Locker Errors on console when pulling out, usually traced to inadvertent pushing of this switch at an indetermined point.
A few panicky minutes transpire of cycling in and out of drive modes with and without the switch until the error clears.
Its always lit up, and I find ON and OFF fairly indistinguishable given the switch only pushes in a tiny bit, not as much as Toyota switches.

I pulled the face off and drew a bit of sharpie marker on the bulb. Now it does not appear lit during the day unless on, and at night it has the same level of backlighting as the rest of the switches until it is on. If you need to get the switch out to do this the easiest way (for me anyway) was to remove the head unit and reach down. Just took a few minutes. The face of the switch comes off with a straight pull.
