Has anyone ever seen a switch mount for this area? Or perhaps someone has a 3MF/STL file for printing one? I haven’t been able to find one for 3rd gen Tacoma’s, and my CAD skills are still in their infancy.

When I had a Jeep, I got an sPod setup. It has 6 simple switches and in the Jeep was located above the rear view mirror.

When I got the Tacoma, I thought I'd like to try the touchscreen controller and just move the other relevant sPod stuff over to the truck.

I'm on my third touchscreen, which keeps fuzzing out, and would LOVE to have a way to mount those switches in my overhead (while tossing this damn touch screen garbage as far as I could throw it), but I don't know what, if any, superstructure is available up there to mount to.

The setup you posted looks nice and compact.

I don't have anything on the roof but I do have that switch panel. Some double sided tape and the left side of my steering wheel is where I put mine. I used to have an extra light switch in the top console, I hated it. Had to take my eyes off of what's in front of me to find the button. This spot puts it at cell phone level on the dash so to speak. I'm a fan.

The photo I used just demos where I’d like to put the switch. I have an Auxbeam panel mounted on the left side of the steering wheel with the other switches, but I have another one (a Feniex 4200 mini) I’m trying to put up top. It’s a lot more tactile, so I just need it within reach.

I almost commented along the same lines when I first saw this post. I put a 6 button panel in place of the stock switch panel in the upper console and now I can't read any of the labels. The labels are too close to focus on. Old eyes I guess.

@Puppypunter Those are nice, but I’m sporting the sunglasses-holder-less OR.

@MARSHBUSTER I’ve scoured it, and the closest I found is the photo I posted of a 4Runner panel. That particular vendor said he was hoping to make one in the future, but nothing yet.

I’ve gone through a couple iterations in the last two days, and this is what I have so far. IMG_3146.jpg IMG_3147.jpg

I would have preferred to get something that doesn’t pinch the wires so tight, but it isn’t a straight 90-degree bend, so I think it would work. Seems solid enough, as the hook I made at top is just wide enough to “bite into” a little lip on the back side of the roof liner that keeps it from moving around.

I was most excited for having placed the screw holes in exactly the right places!

I’m curious if someone comes up with something more glamorous.
