I am rewiring the entire truck right now along with adding a dual battery. I'll try to take as many photos as I can to show what I'm doing on post it up in my build thread.

So what i sthe lead time on this? I have been researching this idea. So many options out there.

 

Well I just got the first one done and I drove 8 hours with the whole setup. I can probably get a second version out soon if you want to buy one cheap and test for me.

 

What's the easiest way to get a switch out after you put it into the panel?

Like I put a switch in the first slot but want to change it to the 2nd

Flat head screwdriver, work slowly, and try not to get flustered like I did when I changed my switch positions. Go slow and use the flat head to press down on the tabs between the tip and bottom of the switch body and the switch housing

by chance have you ever switched the rocker only as well? bought a new rocker for a switch i had already had

 

I did, because I put the rocker on upside down haha. You just have to be very slow and carful. I wrapped a towel around a flathead screwdriver as to not damage the plastic, and just slowly pried it until it popped off. Just go slow and don't push it if you think you will break it. Try to keep the switch level, as in not in the on or off position, just centered, as to not break the plastic rod under the rocker

 

got it out and swapped the rockers! thanks man

Quick question for anybody that can help me. I am using the green and green/white wire from the back of the fog light harness for the switch illumination. I have the green (+) wire hooked to pin 8 and the green/white (-) hooked to pin 7. The switches I am using have the lower independent led. I am not getting any illumination in the switches and now my fog light switch will not illuminate. Can anybody tell me what I'm missing.

 

For the lower light, you should be using pins 7 and 6
