    2nd gens are better, change my mind.
    But if there were a boxed version with a hinged front, wouldn't that also make it just as easy of access and make it safer (electrically speaking). I'm not saying that this version is obsolete, as it is the smartest/easiest option for mounting everybody's dozens of switches we have lying around :D I'm just saying that a second version that is boxed with holes for easy mounting with a hinged front face would be a good idea. Easily doable by the DIY'r, but a good idea for the OP as another version.

    I've paid already and am excited to get that package in the mail!

    Very true. Guess my brain wasnt clicking when i was originally reading :) Ill probably just do two small pieces of velcro and call it secured enough for me. But the hinged top seems nice....be a bit more cost wise though

    EEE. this is now $37.69 for a flat metal panel. I know you have R&D in this but I am not sure I can justify the $ for something I can build. I really like the idea, I think the extra $6 for shipping killed it for me. sorry man

    Sorry man, I'm maybe making a $1 on all this simply by rounding to the nearest dollar on each of the items. Check the pricing on a small flat rate box with USPS and you'll see I'm not making it up.

    The $37 price includes the plate, pull handles (which are anodized alum), and the black switch holder.

    It's actually a really good deal! I thought about getting a piece of aluminum and making my own, but until I figured in probably $10 worth of gas to get to the store and back, the time in going to the store, $10 on the aluminum, $10 for the switch holder (which is I think 9.75 on OTRATTW, but if you're that worried about a quarter you shouldn't be modding a truck) and then the fact I'd have probably 1.5-2 hours of work cutting and drilling the panel and it not looking nearly this good. This is a damn good deal! So to pay $37 and not have to leave the house to get it is a winner in my book!

    Whats your problem man, this guy is selling his idea for a really low price. The shipping costs killed it for you? How can you give free shipping on a $30 bucks item that your making less than 1 dollar profit, its just 6 bucks man still a petty good deal. And it isn't just a flat metal panel dude its a designed mount to fit the switches with handles.
