I changed the air freshener to a new one, one time.
I’m interested in seeing everyone’s switch pro set ups. I can find them all day long for 2nd and turd gens but haven’t been seeing to many set ups for 1st gens.

I decided to pull the trigger on one since I’m not a huge fan of the scattered rockers all over the cab and I have a double din radio. I wanted everything to be consolidated into one controller and easy to use. I’ll be putting mine into my headliner In between the sun visors.

I was just curious if anyone has one mounted and really interested in seeing peoples aux fuse blocks, spod modules, and switch pro module set ups under the hood. Trying to get ideas on how to Mount this stuff and if there are any prefabbed mounting solutions to use like power trays does. No love for the first gens lol.

Fair to say you haven't as 1st Gen's stopped being made when Switch Pro's came out so there are no 'direct connect' setups :burp:

I will say there are plenty of people that have mounted a Switch Pro up in their 1st gen; some on a holder/mount where you'd put a phone, another guy above on the headliner.

Have you checked out the build thread section?

I’m a bit confused at the first statement?

and yeah I have the controller mounting under wraps just curious as to how everyone is mounting the module under the hood. Would be nice to find some sort of Tray to Mount somewhere and out the module and a bus bar to along with a cb.

haven’t delved into the build thread just trying to search for “show off your set up”
Threads and not coming up with too much.

I forget what setup @BartMaster1234 has but I thought he had something on his headliner.

I've seen it in person; it's a clean setup.

Yeah was super impressed with it! The switch pro seems to be a bit smaller so I’m stoked on that. Never actually asked him what wa sunder his hood as far as relay and fuse set up. I’ll dig around his build thread.

Yessir, it’s a Federal Signal SmartSiren SS2000SM unit out of a California Highway Patrol car. Five mappable keys and relays, and a three position slide switch. Super programmable and super expandable. Has a lot of other features too like siren tones (disabled, obviously), Radio rebroadcast, public address, and lightbar control. I use it to run my Federal Signal Legend LED wrecker bar, with built in traffic advisor, take down lights, and alley lights.

Here’s the brain box with the interface modules and bus bars.

And the control panel stuck up in my headliner. I trimmed down the mounting plate for it that would usually sit in a center console inside a cop car.

The bottom row controls all the relays. I have my KC Lights and my rear work lights hooked up to it.

Dude so rad! Awesome that it’s in the cubby in the back seat! I definitely want my front roller to look like yours. Such a good spot and I never see anyone with anything in there.

Look up aux beam. I’ve had one of their 8 switch panels for a few years and just picked up another 6 for the tow rig. Same idea. Self contained. Etc EB8E2FE0-69A5-4324-BFE8-0A4159521B5B.jpg

There’s a lot of room behind the headliner where I bolted that panel into. You can probably fit a whole traditional six position switch panel there.

That’s good to know! I was hoping there’d be some real estate so I’m not smashing shit in there. Switch pro is pretty low profile so I’ll have plenty of space.

You have a gang of relays and fuses for your
    Lights under the hood?

No, I just have relay holders and fuse holders. Though the Federal Signal system has relays you can utilize I just didn’t want to run the power wires into the cab. The KC Lights have a relay in the engine bay triggered by a 12v signal from the Federal Signal brain inside the cab.

I plan on using two of these modules, one in the cab one in the engine bay.

I have an off-brand switchpro and I just velcro’d it inside the glove box. Completely hidden, works great. Relay box is mounted to the front right inner fender beside the air box.

Do all these off brand Switch Pro companies have relays and fuses to go with it or are they solid state switches like the real Switch Pros stuff? That was the allure for me, no extra relays and fuses to deal with so wiring is super simple

For mine, the only switches and relays are in the box. They’re not solid state switches, but just a plug in switch pad

I really like your center console - what kind of engine and trans setup do you have?
