This thread has been created to share information about the purchase, installation, and operation of the Off Road Engineering Switch Pros SP8100 Switch Panel Power System.

And here is a 22 minute demo video shows how everything works:

Edited 4/26/2017: Previously there was a group buy happening on TW. Here is the link to that group buy.

    **Switchpros Group Buy**

Current price was $479 with 20% off if the group buy had 16 participants.

The Switch Pros SP8100 has most often been purchased from autoanything.com. The retail price is now $499.00. They previously offered whatever discount they were currently offering towards the purchase price. They have since canceled that policy and unfortunately the Switch Pros is now on their excluded list. It has been reported that some TW members have contacted autoanything.com to ask about any "discount" that might be available and they have been given a discount. YMMV, but something to try if you are in the market to buy one.

Tacomaworld member @XPOTRPR has produced a mount for the system that is spectacular. You can contact him directly or you can access his sale thread for this mount and other products he offers here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/xpotrpr-mounts-and-accessories.439441/#post-12757102

And thanks go to @Spixelz for putting forth the original thread that attempted a group buy that fell through but produced a thread with a ton of information. Here is a link to the thread:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/switch-pro-8-switch-panel-group-buy.389851/
See the next couple of posts in this thread for links to information on how the system was wired by various members, how it was installed by various members and other information.

This thread will be updated continually to provide TW members with helpful information.

If you find a great price somewhere post up a link in the thread and I will change this post to reflect a link to that deal.

Sub, you should grab some of those underhood pics. I am stealing from a couple of them, their design to mount up mine.

Agreed. The plan is to comb through the thread and cull out the various installs, wiring pics and how to's, then to post a sample picture and link them in the number 2, 3 and 4 posts in this thread. Then as the thread grows and it becomes more difficult to locate the specific information that we need, I can continue to link in the first four posts in the thread the various additions people make. The net result will be pretty much an index at the beginning of the thread that links to the meat of the thread and skips all the BS that will inevitably follow. That should make it efficient for people to find the information they need. It will just take me a bit of time to go through the process of locating the information and posting the links.

yes, I have done the mods
Now if we all could come up with a system to source or print custom switch labels ourselves. They do include a lot of them, but there are a couple pretty specific ones that I need - like "dashcam" - and I'm sure we all have one or two unique ones we'd like.

    Any ideas?

Did an upgrade for my switch pro setup...went from everything mounted on my fuse box cover to a tray made by my brother @bullaculla. This thing is solid and machined from a slab of aluminum, then went thru a very long process in his CNC, and finally turned out like this...pure awesomeness! It's designed for the 2nd gen but works for the 3rd gen minus the support leg since the 3rd gen has a lower but wider fuse box.

    Process:
    image.jpg
    image.jpg

Here is how it looks in a 2nd gen:
    image.jpg

Here it is in my 3rd gen:
    image.jpg

I still have to crimp ends on the switch pro wires to the blue sea terminal bar. The tray sits about a 1/4 inch above the fuse box so a simple rubber spacer or similar will be placed between them to mitigate stress/fatigue and vibrations.

@hamiltonuh60 What? Couldn't use the leg? Can you make a support for the end? I'm just worried about metal fatigue with all the vibes and bouncing that's gonna happen.
:edit: Nevermind, didn't see the bottom...

Yeah I think it will work out perfectly. The leg support hole is right on the edge of the fuse box cover so a rubber damper or something will do. Now I need to get the terminals and finish the switch pro end of the wires. I just put a dab of silicone sealant over the old holes on the fuse box cover...not pretty but does the job.

holy nutballs! I want one of these immediately. Is bullaculla set up to make more of these? @bullaculla, are you willing to take my money?

I've got my Switchpro on top of my fuse box, same as you, but this is the best install I've seen yet, and I want it.
