yeah man. I just keep kicking myself in the ass for not sticking with it or getting a patent. I've seen several remakes. no biggie. I just know what I had to do to make that design work.. and I have to assume others just reverse engineer my parts.

I know the pain, I had to build the part from scratch. I have several prototypes that didn't quite work out laying on my desk. Trial and error.

I don't think you realize how involved/expensive the process of getting a patent is... I'm not sure it's financially worth it in this case and it would be hard to argue what you've done is not an obvious solution.

Lol. Easy to say now that its all been done.

This is exactly why I didn't pursue it.

Easy to say, easy to draw, easy to print. I did mine from a picture on google lol

But ya I don’t think it was worth patenting. That gets quite expensive.

I guess you're just superior :notsure:

I had to come up with an idea, then how to capture it, with no hardware, and with no picture. Form fit to the center console. I didn't have shit to go off of.

Like I said tho. No biggie. Moved onto bigger and better things.

Not superior just a little handy with DIY stuff. I’m honestly suprised switchpros doesn’t offer this as an optional part with how versatile the 8100/9100 is

Just saw the link to your bezel on ebay. Have you not had issues with PLA? PLA tends to warp in high heat (Truck Cab in Summer).

    Just curious.

Hi, I did think about that when using the PLA. Part of the reason I went with PLA is because the controller is essentially part of the structure when paired in a interference fit design. My own bezel is PLA and I have not seen any deformation or warp from heat. Not saying it can’t happen, but it withheld Texas summer.

If this becomes and issue, I will switch to ABS. In the mean time PLA is delivering results and product that I want.

    Great question btw.

Has anyone wired an ARB single compressor directly to a Switch-Pros or is everyone connecting the ARB harness to the Switch-Pros unit? I do not have air lockers and do not plan to in the future. Just trying to avoid a bird's nest of unused wiring in my truck.

it doesn’t turn it off. It adjusts the brightness between your day and night setting so you don’t blind yourself with the panel

trigger wire. I’ve got it setup so ditch lights (sometimes my 30” bar too) come on and off with my high beams.
