Looking for some general wiring help relating to substituting the Eaton factory power switch with a new switch that fits in my overhead console. I'm basically wire matching and don't want my locker to activate as I switch on high beams.

I numbered them below to reference which (I believe) should pair /splice together. I added description as per each switches diagram.

    Eaton switch
    1) BLUE : 12v DC ignition
    2) YELLOW: switch relay signal
    3) BLACK: ground

    Relpacement Switch

    1) RED: 12v DC ignition
    2) GREEN: RELAY
    3) BLACK: Ground
    4) BLUE: "connect to dash light to supply 12V (optional)

For usual / most common wiring that’s correct. But no one can give you the actual answer without knowing the Eaton pinout and More importantly how the relay coil is wired to the switch.
But if the light on the Eaton switch lights up when in the on position, then it’s 95% safe to assume you got it right with your numbering. (I’m assuming the Eaton switch has a light otherwise there would be no need for the ground and power, but since it has both it could use either to energize the relay coil, and that’s what you really need to know here).

Thanks. This matches the manual that I have but still confused with the extra wire the replacement switch has.

I'm not sure if the Eaton switch lights up but the replacement switch does.

Eaton switch lights when in the on position. Hence the ground. It puts 12V on the coil of the relay to switch the locker on. It's right in the diagram posted above.

Illuminates the switch with a second source so it can come on with dash lights and be dimmed if you so choose.

Nice! Thank you for this. Where's a good source to access the dash light?

Excuse my lack of basic wiring.
Do I just splice and solder into #13?

Since the wires are small gauge, get these and T-tap it.

@Puppypunter was in the works to make a harness to the overhead console...but I'm sure you're not going to wait for it...

I already have their harness but using it for the camera. I wonder if I can splice into this harness?

To tap the dash illumination on the head Unit then run it to the overhead console...yikes!

yeah. that's my brain half asleep. I think I will try your original idea with the T connector. I've used these before although I hear some people say it's not ideal. BY the way, I have a TRD offroad so not sure if the diagram you provided will work. It says (SR/SR5)

I can confirm our trucks run illumination to the dash switches through the tan wire. If it's a little too tight to splice or t-tap you could gently push the new wire into the tan wire slot following the wire in. A good electrical taping job will hold it in place. I know some people don't like to cut wires or add taps.
Here is a video wiring in the extra wire you refer to in case you want to see what I'm talking about. It's for a ditch light switch, but the concept is the same.
skip forward to 1:05 in the video so you can avoid me talking as to why I'm doing this. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
