I know some of this has been addressed in other threads, but I have searched and searched without finding anything to help.

I installed a "Wolo Bad Boy" air horn in my 16 Sport Double Cab. It was fairly straight forward, had on wire coming from Relay to a generic switch (which was just pos/neg). (Instructions below)

    upload_2019-1-14_15-44-8.jpg

I purchased an Air On Board switch, and it is wired a bit different than CH 4x4 or Mic Tuning switches (Diagram below:)

I've wired it, with the Red to an "add a fuse" (on the Windshield Washer, as I wanted something powered only with ignition). The Blue is Illumination, and I have it tapped to the Illumination Positive of the Cargo Lamp switch.

The Switch lights up, but doesnt activate the air horn. What am I missing? Do I go to another source for the Red?? is it better to tie the ground to an illumination negative (like on the cargo lamp)??

    Thank you all!!!!

Could red and blue be joined and tied to a 12V positive, like the cig lighter? Or should I just cap the red and not use it ?

If I were you I would completely get rid of the illuminated switch. It only complicates things

    Where is your relay grounded?

Prong 36 (or is it 86?) has to go to a ground. Don’t jump 30 and 36 together

85 on the relay needs to go to ground. 86 is where green from the switch should go. 30 should be fused to the battery.

It should be. Lighted switches confuse so many people because of the ground. All the ground is doing is allowing the light on the switch to function.
