Could use some help with a wiring problem. I purchased Rigid D-Series Pro lights using a Rigid D-Series and SR-Q Series High Power Wire Harness - 40196, and OEM switch.

I have had problems wiring to the switch as per the diagram, I continue to blow fuses.

I tried switching the connections from the relay to the green wire and the power to the red 1 wire. The fuse hasn't blown but now my switch light is always on. Any advice helps.

Ya green to the power, red 1 to the relay, and right now leaving red 2 unconnected. When I use this set up the fuse keeps blowing not sure why.

I've checked for exposed wires on the harness and used these connectors to attach to the harness and switch

    1. check your harness from the lights and make sure you are hooking in to the right wires
    2. check your grounds on the lights/harness
    3. where is the fuse and how many amps is the one you are blowing?

Also I just noticed that you say OEM switch, do you mean an OEM style CH4x4 switch or somewhere in the mix you have an actual oem switch?

Are your blade connectors touching each other?, i know silly question. You are insulating them away from each other?
Checking the specs the normal draw should only be less than 10 amps on them

I have a question to add to this. I’m running the Rigid D-SS ditch lights to an OEM-like switch, but using this plug and play illumination harness.

    https://caliraisedled.com/products/plug-and-play-switch-illumination-harness

The Rigid harness includes a relay that sends a ground wire to the switch however, the switch ground wire is already connected to the cargo light through the switch illumination harness. Is it safe to leave the ground wire coming from the relay that’s meant to ground the switch disconnected?
