Have you tried without supplied resistors?

It's because the DRL on 2nd gens is the front turn signals not the parking lamps, therefore if you plug in an LED with white bulb for the parking lamp and amber bulb for the turn signal it will light up amber when the DRLs are on.

I have tried them without the resistors same results amber only , I know the DRL and turn signals are the same both sets I have purchased state they are for the DRL and turn signal combo error free, I though it was a defective bulbs on my first purchase so I went to another supplier with and purchased another set with same issue amber only ,

I've done some research and been directed to these by some members. But been procrastinating on purchasing. Pricey, maybe that's why.

They have other types/colors. If u want white for DLR I think this is the one .

My experience with "switchback" DRL's has been mixed. I converted my incandescent lighting to LED's by installing resistors (8 yrs ago). Over the years, the switchbacks - amber / white - were not reliable. Would work for a year or so then fail. I tried a number of brands (all Chinese from Amazon and e-bay) all with the same results. The "look" was "cool", but, reliability was frustrating. The DRL's were the ONLY failures over 8 years. I finally switched to a 3157CK amber LED a couple of years ago - amber DRL, amber parking, amber turn. Not as cool as the switchbacks, but, trouble free -FWIW
