Switchback fog bulbs messed up by auto high beams?

Tried searching but no luck except for a comment that wasn’t clear.

Thinking about white/yellow switchback fog bulbs. Of course they switch by quickly pressing the fog lights off then on again.

Since the fogs turn off with high beams, do switchback fogs not work well with the auto hi beam feature? I’d think that if there are string of cars where the highs beams are being deactivated then activated, then deactivated etc, that it could be flipping the color of the fog lights unintentionally?

Curious if anyone is successfully running a switchback color fog with the auto high beam feature that the trucks have now?

Switchback fogs are not recommended. No reputable lighting company makes those products. The emitters cannot be located on center because you need multiple emitted to support the different colors, meaning the emitters are placed in the wrong spot so you have far worse glare and worse performance than a normal LED in a reflector fog which already is poor performing and produces excessive glare.

But to answer your question, yes every time the fogs are shut off for any reason (including auto high beams) they will change color.

The correct way to run an LED fog is replacing the entire fog with an SAE assembly which will be significantly higher in output performance, far more usable and have less glare to oncoming drivers (which also means performing better in fog):

I would think that Britebox could mitigate this issue since it would prevent the fogs from turning off.
