I'd still like to see how much preload is on your coilovers

X2 it sounds like the shock was maxed out at ride height giving the bouncing feeling. I did this myself when I had 70lb Springs. Rode horrible until I lowered it to very little pre load. (On my tacoma)

Interesting. I was thinking of moving up to 700 lb. springs on my truck. I have the Icon 2.5 ET's with 650 lb / 13" springs. They are set at 2" of exposed thread.

I am putting on a Pelfreybuilt HWM (28lbs) and 9500 winch (62lbs ??) with an Avid Bumper Bar (32 lbs). Looking at maybe 130 lbs total.

I was hoping that with the 700 lb 14" springs I could reduce the preload by an inch and still maintain the same height and ride comfort with the extra weight up front.

    Am I right?

I am going to be putting on 700lb Springs and flipping the valving on all shocks to progressive as opposed to the digressive. I don’t like how my preload is maxed on the standard coils right now, and I would like to reduce that, get the ride height I want, and smooth my ride more with the progressive valving. Thoughts?

My FOX came with 13" long 600 lb/in springs. I'm now running 14" long 650 lb/in springs on mine with sliders, ARB bumper, XD9000 winch, front skid and dual batteries. Rides nice, not harsh at all. My driver side collar has 1.5" of threads exposed and passenger has 1" and I'm at about 23" fender lip to hub center.
