I have a '15 DCSB TRD OR. I bought two AOB switches for bed lights and rear lights that I would install under the A/C controls in the two blanks by the A-trac switch. After removing the blanks, I noticed wiring harnesses attached to them. Does anyone know what they are for and can they be utilized for lighted switches?

    Probably for heated seats.

I thought the heated seat buttons were between the shifter and arm rest.

Mine came with heated seats (Canadian option) and the two switches were on the left and right sides of the under the AC switch area.

So if I get the Limited seats that have the heaters in them already and add the factory switches, potentially it's just plug and play?

If the wiring was already ran and you got factory heated seat switches then it could be plug and play. Here is a pic of what the switches look like from toyota. From what I've heard this is not an option available in the US so the wiring may not be there if you are American. image.jpg

The American Limited's with the Softex seats have the heated option. So might it be there?

Ah ok I didn't know that. I'd say the wires may be there then. There are many cases where toyota puts in the wiring for options that aren't on that specific model of truck. I assume to save costs they try to build them all the same (including wiring).

Would definitely make the job easier for you if it was plug and play

It would make sense for them to do that. Why make multiple styles of harness' if they could essentially make 'one size fits all'.

If only someone were kind enough to provide some sort of photo showing the exact harness and plugs used for the switches and the ones used on the seats themselves. :)

Wiring is behind the blanks but missing under hood for main power and under the seats themselves. Should be able to use the behind blank wiring for illumination though.

Here is a pic of the plug on mine. It has these wires running to it:

    white with black stripe
    green with white stripe
    purple
    green
    blue

I couldn't get a better picture.... that was as far as the wiring would come out.
