You know I'm always suprised more people don't take it to the dealer.

My last oil change there was $25 (coupon) normally $10 more and that includes an oil change, a car wash, and all the doughnuts and coffee I can handle. And they warranty their work.

As for the synthetic to regular I'm not too sure but I know the dealer has it. It will just be expensive.

they offer a synthetic, but it will cost you quite a bit. Just run their normal stuff or keep doing it yourself.

It won't hurt anything to switch back. I have done it on a dodge dakota. Was using mobil one, started leaking out the rear main seal, switched back to dino, leak stopped, no further issues.

Just to clarify, synthetic does not cause seal failures, it just slips past weak seals easier than dino. If you want to switch back, no problems. If there were any compatibility issues, then there would not be synthetic/conventional blends available.

Thats because their oil changes are done by interns.... unless you requesting more then just oil change.
Oil change is only cheaper when you use their oil, and that means oil source depends on the dealer. You could be getting peanut oil if they make money on it.:D
BTW: my car sounded like lawnmower on dealer oil, but wife insisted on using coupons for free oil change. I actually think they screwed up a little my engine but there is no way to prove that. Right now no more free coupons and I will not let them touch my truck. I may come for tranny flush but more likely I will drop the pan and do a cleanup myself around 60K
