Who said you had to put sport tires on a sport truck? Again, I put Kumho KL78's on a '07 sport tacoma.

In fact, I have the OE bridgestone 17 in tires in my garage with less than 1000 miles, if anyone is interested in them email me at vfr800rider@msn.com.

The same size and offset is also available in the FJCruiser wheels, and sometimes you can get 5 instead of just 4 since the FJC has a spare that matches both in style and size. You may or may not like the Cruiser wheels, but if someone put a set or each in front of me, it would be a coin toss. The FJC wheels seem to come up more often though...........

i have the bfg all terrain 265 70 17's on my sport, and they don't rub at all.
They look perfect with no lift, but may look small with a lift.

I had the Pro-Comp All Terrain's on my 99 and they were fantastic. We had a huge blizzard and they closed down the Interstates. I had no worries and just went around the barricades. I figured no cop was going to get on the road and catch me anyways.

Right now, I have Yokahama Geolanders. They are OK, but when they go, I am going back to the Pro Comps. They periodically have a buy 3 get one free sale that is sweet.

Now the question. Why the bigger rims on the sport and not the off-road? Seems to me that the off-road would need the bigger ones, or is that thinking logically?

3inch lift, Running Boards. Future BFG All-terrains (once factory Rugged Terrains wear our)
yeah I was open for an excuse to get rid of them.( future wife doesnt want me to change for awhile). They are all right, I just miss my aggressive bfg all-terrain tire i had on my old truck. I wish that when you ordered the trd packaged(fj has this just cost alot for the package) it came with the allterrain instead of the rugged highway terrain. Well if the one guy said 23000, i am at 5000 now. I do think the sport wheels would look good as compared to the off road trd wheels that I have. Wish i could find a good deal and sell my 16"s off road rims.
hmmm.... future 17" sport and bfg all terrains now that would be nice....how much...money I wonder will lose for swamping out 16" to 17" and going to Bfg all terrains?

trust me the bfg's are worth every penny.. i went from the 215's on a 1996 regular cab to 30x950-15's. i have 215k on the truck currently.been thru three sets- thats 66k per set, the compounds on the bfg's are hard, and dont wear out like the others.. i have friends who have replaced other brands at 20k! u get what you pay for.. why didnt you buy a ford ranger??

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
I have 265/70/17 Michelin LTX ATII's on my 06 Sport and no rubbing.
    Great tire.
Much better than the Nittos I took off.
