I have the original droid and I've been happy with it. A few weird things with it, but overall one of the best phones I've had.

I'm lookin for Verizon to get the iphone soon, since they cover the iPad now.

As of the 14th I believe, Verizon is going to a 20 month upgrade on all contacts, including primary lines for family plans. Meaning, any new contract or renewal that occurs after that date will require a minimum of 20 months before being eligible to upgrade.

I just upgraded my wife's phone so that it would still be eligible next winter (using my primary line upgrade). She also had issues with her phone, this just expedited the process.

I love my Droid Incredible. Perfect size, cause any bigger wouldn't fit in the pocket in my running shorts. Also, it does everything I want it to and more. Mine is rooted.

Verizon doesn't have 3G use and calls at the same time. Including the iPhone released today. That's so outdated in my mind. ATT's network is far superior for most needs. Verizon does have pretty decent coverage areas though. Do some research on the new "4G". I mean the upgraded 3G that tmobile and verizon sell as 4.

If you had read the post reports from CES you would know that the new LTE phones will support voice and data simultaneously, besides the iphone is not even a smart phone its a multimedia phone, and we can argue att vs verizon all day everyday fact is att's network will be outdated, and with the 700mhz lte network being deployed its all about coverage, speed, and dependability:cool:

I've never felt the need to use internet and talk at the same time, but I will tell you that there have been many situations where my at&t buddies have had little/no signal where I was fine...and I'm on sprint.

That's probably true. They would lose some revenue if people jump ship but their service throughput should increase. I read recently that over 65% of AT&T's wireless data service goes to iPhones.

Plus, Verizon's 3G is much slower that AT&T's (they're not putting the iPhone on the Verizon LTE 4G network). Many might see lower performance by switching to Verizon.

It may be good for AT&T plans as well. As competition increases, they may have to make up for it with new data plans. I think Verizon is offering unlimited data.

Good, yes leave AT&T, please. Love my iphone and I have been with AT&T for 11 years and they are working good for me. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

I've been very satisfied with Verizon I jumped ship from AT&T due to Verizon having better services in areas where I needed it. Have had Verizon for 4 years no with no issues. Just upgraded to a Droid X this past weekend and love it.

Even though he is a Pittsburg guy I think he hit the nail on the head here. I have a droid incredible and have zero complaints. I beat on phones pretty bad too (4 blackberry curves last year alone).

I would say go to verizon. Customer service is hit or miss like any cell phone company, but at least when you call them you wont drop the call in the middle of them telling you they arent going to help you. HAHA

I would wait until you see some reports out. Give it a couple of months to see how their network responds.

You might be surprised. I can forsee a lot of current Verizon customers upgrading. As was stated earlier, you can upgrade your contract if your a current Verizon customer within one year of your contract end-date. The other thing is how fast can Apple supply them.
