I’m at my wits end with this install. I don’t consider myself an electrical genius so this is likely why I’m struggling with the install on this (and a lack of clear instructions).

I have been attempting to install my JVC KW-V850BT with the Crux SWRTY-61N. I’m unclear as to what I’ve wired wrong and where the discrepancy is so I figure you all would be my best chance to figure it out before sending this Crux back and getting another interface.

after aligning the wires and setting the interface to what the manual said, I plugged it in and it tripped my reverse white taillights to be constantly on. It also was illuminating the Parking and Reverse lights on my gear shift console AND my check engine light was tripped along with my Trac Off light on my dash cluster. So clearly something isn’t correct.

Here are my current dilemmas are and where I’d like clarity/advice... I’m not using the 24 to 16 pin harness from the SWRTY-61N package. I have the black and yellow wire inserted in the #15 position on the 28-pin connector. What wire does the other end get capped to?

From the 28-pin harness is a VSS (vehicle speed sense) wire (red/black). What wire does that get routed and coupled to?

Also from the 28-pin harness there is a REVERSE (reverse trigger) (red/white). What wire does that get routed and coupled with?

The harness from the rear of the head unit has all its wires matched with their respective colors on the SWRTY-61N. EXCEPT a light seafoam green wire that says “PRK SW” and a purple/white wire with “REVERSE” on it.

Being that every other color goes to a matching color to mend the harnesses, for the wires remaining, are they to not have matching colors or where do I go from here?

Also, on the interface I had them set as advised in the manual to OFF,ON,OFF,ON,OFF,ON,OFF,ON. After reading some of these forums it lead me to believe it was actually supposed to be ON,OFF,ON,ON,OFF,ON,OFF,ON. Advice on this interface setting?
