I was thinking about this a bit, but isn't the light on the right side of the road the OEM lights? Since you placed Silverstars on the driver's side, then they are shining on the left of the road, correct?

Kick me if I'm wrong. Sweet pics, though, and thanks for the comparison 'cause I was thinking about switching to Silverstars once I burn out a bulb.

Reading these threads, one would get the impression that bulbs burning out are a regular occurrence. I've driven 11 different vehicles over a period of 18 years, and my wife has owned 2 different cars in the 12 years we've been married, for a total of 13 vehicles and 30 years worth of driving, and I can honestly say that I've only had 1 bulb burn out ever. Maybe I'm just extremely lucky...

Maybey, but I had a fog light go out when slush off of another car hit the light and it went out. So replaceing the fog lights gave me a situation where the fogs were both brighter and a whiter light than the headlights. So it is not that they go out all at once, I am just too OCD to have fogs that don't match the light output of the headights.

Congratulations to Banchi for being the first to say something..

I did not want to cloud up the thread writing about flipping the smaller images for comparison reasons. For some reason I wanted all OEM on the left and all Silverstar on the right. That lead to requiring the labels to eliminate any confusion.

Did you or anyone esle, once you put these in, have to reaim your headlights any? I almost feel like they could use a little aiming down.

Don't forget too that the passenger side headlight is usually aimed higher than the drivers side.

Yes, the second night that I put them in. I turned off my fogs, and they dont seem as bright as the OEMs sometimes. Its almost like the light pattern is more spread out, and yes they are in correctly.

OK, have had Osram Silverstar H7's in my P5 for 5yrs. I have bought 2 sets & the 2nd set is still in the car now. Have heard all this stuff about them lasting for 6 months or so over on the mazda forum & here we go with that over here. Strikes me as odd how some folks are changing them every few months & some last for years & years. To many to just be coincidental, something else going on. Haven't had any in the Taco. Just weird.......

Maybe some folks are putting their greasy fingers all over the glass... FWIW, I had some silverstar 9007's in my SRT-4 and they lasted over 2 years.

I make sure to never touch the bulbs and I have yet to have a silver star last more than 6 months. I have gone back to regular bulb on one side. Now Im just waiting for the other one to blow. I love the silver stars I think they make a huge difference but I cant justify the cost.

    Just enough, and never enough
i have silverstar ultras on my old truck and one ended up burning out in about six months. I bought another pair and they lasted 2 years until i sold the truck so i think it just depends on the bulb:notsure:
