Had the same issue with my Ram 2500. Replaced rear drums and problem solved.

I have a 2020 Taco TRD Sport very similar problem truck has 12000km and is on its third set of drums. I dropped it off again today as vibration has returned.
Truck has to be warm to exhibit issue if i apply the hand brake slightly you can feel strong pulsation.
They already did the front wheel drive test same problem.
A toyota engineer is working with the stealership today, will update later.

I get a pulse vibration when braking as well. I ask the service department every time I bring the truck in and they tell me its fine.

If you've gotten rear brakes hot enough to 'warp' that slab of cast iron, you're a regular racer, and you'd see them glowing in the dark like old roundy-rounds.........

Out of round is the more likely condition, and that's a casting error. It's why there was a TSB and yes it should be warrantied.

Drums of course can be machined (resurfaced at the friction face) but at your mileage that should not be needed. And it won't correct an out of round condition from casting.

Out of round can be checked by any basic machinist with a dial gauge.

Hope they get it right for you w/o an excess amount of stupid.

Looks like the dealer was causing this problem. They use torque sticks to tighten lug nuts. I removed my snow tires and found the lugs were uneven and some way too tight. A 450lbs gun struggled to pull lugs off. As soon as I put the summers on and used a torque wrench the pulsation disappeared.

My experience is the handbrake will replicate the problem.
The dealer I used to go to used torque sticks the clowns overtightened some of the bolts. Loosening and torquing properly fixed the drum issue.
I had another vibration in my 2021 taco and it was brakes requiring servicing.
You gotta pull the pads and clean the shims and pins and apply Molly kite copper lube and lube the slider pins with brake grease.
Now that I know this I service the brakes twice a year when I change to snows/ all seasons.
Truck drives like it should now.

i think my drum is warped because the wheel doesn't sit flush against the hub. wobbles slightly when looking in the mirror while driving and causes some bad vibrations especially above 40 mph. axle shafts are straight, bearings good. i think this all started after clipping the edge of a median with my driver's side rear wheel when pulling out onto the highway. i was only going 5-10 mph but full throttle. kinda of jerked the truck to the side a bit. didn't notice anything until months later when the tire was wearing unevenly. all the mechanics i've been to have no idea what's going on. i've started thinking about trading the truck in because nothing i do fixes it and my truck is always in the shop and no one will fix it.

Mine is perfect now. Rotors you feel in the steering wheel.

i'm going to try a new drum. i put it on before but don't think i adjusted the drum properly so i put the original back on for now. going to try again. maybe the aftermarket Raybestos drum i got was warped too? I don't know. would it be worth it to buy an OEM drum? they are like $102 from the dealership.
