So after 70,000 miles i finally switched over to mobil 1 synthetic. Im pretty happy and after an hour of driving i dont know if it is just me but my engine seems much smoother and quieter. Just wanted to let you guys and gals know, def worth the extra money. My tacoma is much happier.!!!

cool, mine actually got a bit louder at idle when I switched (valve noise). I know its better for the engine though and I want to extend the OCI so I don't have to deal with the stupid oil filter on this thing quite as often.

So it makes the quiet 3.4 noisier, and the noisy 4.0 quieter.

Don't miss the oil filter on my 02 4Runner AT ALL. The only thing I hated on the whole truck. What were they thinking?

Uhm 3.4 and 4.0 different engines, just implying that it appears my 4.0 seems quieter could be me but who knows. Most importantly the switch to synthetic is what i was talking about.
