Ok So I’m tired of my truck riding like it’s on the bump stops. My truck with this Total Chaos long travel rides like crap. In the front I have the Triple Bypass king also. Looks awesome! I drive this truck every day. The Dever spring under Rear is really stiff too with the 10” Triple Bypass. On my Rubicon trip I was constantly getting caught on the frame rails and bent the main bar inside my Tundra Rack and Pinion( Solo said they would fix it for free under warrantee) O I cracked a driver spindle too. I figure it’s time to change it up. I’ve had a family relationship with Fabtech for years love the company and the employees that work there. No one that we know has done this yet. My goal is to have a better ride with Fabtech shocks with reservoirs and get a stronger steering knuckle and move the chassis up 6” to clear the rocks better. I’m doing more and more crawling lately. I know I won’t get anymore ground clearance at the A-arms I’m running 37 tires and it’s not my arms I’m getting stuck on. I’m also getting stuck on the leaf springs seeing it’s spring under. So I’ll flip the axle back to spring over and boom there is my 6” lift in the rear. Will change my 10” Triple Bypass kings out and run a 16”Fabtech shock. I’ve searched and can’t find any info on a long travel mated to a bracket lift. Maybe you guys can enlighten me? This will be my old system. Truck should stand tall with the 4” long travel and the 6” bracket that’s 10” of total lift man. Should ride like a limo when I’m done. Next week I’ll start hacking 4FFE205E-6BCA-4375-A5CB-8EE230C04511.jpg 8477F7F2-8B7F-43FF-81EC-995B944AF98D.jpg 0E2EB2D4-5A6C-4313-9FBD-A64DE3BEC4BF.jpg

Not sure swapping out all the shocks is going to solve your problem... and thats an expensive "fix". Have you had the shocks tuned yet? Those tires are also very stiff if they are the desert race version.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
Assuming you're serious. I would start by tuning your shocks as suggested above. I think there was a guy that attempted similar on a 2nd gen, may be able to find that if you dig more.
I'm thinking you are going to get so top heavy and high up it is gonna be pretty sketchy on the rocks. You're also gonna have to go through a steep learning curve getting this all working together.
You have a dream set up as is, I think you will fall back in love with it after you tune them bad boys and air down more or find a different tire.

Those Dirt Logic coil overs wont be the correct length if you put a long travel set up on a drop bracket lift. youre going to have to measure your expanded and collapsed lengths and have a custom coil over made

    This & this:
Ride quality isn’t determined by control arms and mounting points.

Custom tuned shocks, and maybe a custom tuned leaf pack will be the best performance for what your goal is.

FYI, it is best to tune your shocks by ear for optimal performance

Your best bet would be a suspension tuner, like @AccuTune Offroad as well as an off road driving course.

Also consider changing the 10” rear shocks out for a relocation and 12-14” shocks. I saw you said Deaver, if you’re running the TC SUA kit then 12-14” would work. If you’re running a DMZ rear then you’d want 16” with a cage through the bed.

Pretty funny to see you complaining about a shitty ride just a few days after throwing shade at BAMF for not using a real shock, apparently my fake shocks ride better and have more travel than your real kit.

But to answer your question, TC long travel plus a drop bracket kit has been done. Here’s a 7 page thread about it https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/long-travel-w-drop-bracket-lift-help.469223/

Wow you guys have the best good ideas. When I talked to King today they said in the front. A long arm and a bracket lift are getting popular! The current coil-over can just get a lower shock spacer, the Triple Bypass need to be a moved up to a 14 the rear needs to be a 14 as well. They would like the new info and pictures with tape measure. Cycle the suspension both directions and give them the numbers. My CVs will Handel more drop out than stock CVs. I can’t wait to get this perfect. If the Fabtech shocks don’t utilize every inch of travel. I’m not going to use them. King said they would give me new valving and they would change the spring out to a softer spring rate more like stock. I’m picking up the lift parts Tuesday and the truck will be out of the body shop Wednesday all brand new again. Then when the truck gets home we’re tearing into this MF and get this mod perfect. This will be a piece of cake for the next guy. And Fabtech and King will get there measurements. And everyone else as this is going public. Interesting to see what broke in my Tundra Solo Rack n Pinion as well. I’m running 38 psi in the Offroad only KR tires I’m running on the street. Need to drop them to 25psi for a better ride. Magnuson said there going to have CARB # next month! Then they will ship my supercharger that’s already paid for. If this works out I’m going to 40” tires KR3s-40. I’ll just dump all the parts that don’t comply to my madness... and I do have the 4:88 and ARB in the front. This is the input I needed thanks guys!

Twice a big as a stock gusseted! I started the tear down today. Looks like just a little machining at my shop and this mod will be moving along. Can’t wait to cycle the suspension and get the numbers. Fabtech came up with a plan to 4 link the rear and keep the gas tank where it is! So I’m going for it. Coil overs in the rear here I come. The entire truck will be flossing the Dirt Logic shocks. I’ll be selling off my 6 king shocks cheep and paying it forward. The cross members are way beefed up much thicker than stock. My truck will be stronger after this mod. Getting this mod perfect will take 3 weeks to get all the new shocks and misalignment spacers right. I’m sure the truck will ride awesome with all the new shocks , Springs and valving. Plus being 6 inches taller and stronger. It’s just a win win ! 6C591782-5B99-4E35-BB40-745CBAA23AA0.jpg

I find it very relaxing working on my own truck. Today was a good day got allot done. Cut the cross member out and welded up the block plates. Got the broken Solo Tundra Rack and Pinion out. Discovered that the motor is hitting the rack. That’s not good...going to drop it down 1/4 inch and that will fix that. I’m sure cutting the cross member out for this mod scares some people away. These 6inch kits are flying off the shelves faster than Fabtech can build them. So ya the rest of my parts are B/O for 2 weeks. Going to my machine shop tomorrow to drI’ll the knuckle out and build my own specialty inserts that tie into the ball joints. 7FB2C912-8365-483B-BD5B-9846A78383E0.jpg5634E3DB-21CF-45B4-8BE1-BDEC8A33406E.jpg D9965927-7B7C-4259-8899-1FC1ECE86A2D.jpg8F8103CA-20B5-412F-BEB6-5FE5E74B90CA.jpg DE46D83C-2134-4F85-A74B-FECC21AB6071.jpg

Ok folks the TALE of the Tape ! Looks like the new shock is 30” eye to eye 29” for the Bypass. Full cycle up on the coil is 25” so that means that the suspension is working on 5” of stroke. The shocks are 10” of stroke so we’re in the clear there. So the big answer to the question we all want to know !!!!!!!!!! I got 10” of wheel travel with this kit. This will not be possible with the Marlin Crawler kit. There arm design will not allow you bolt up to the yo beefy FABTECH knuckle. And this is a better design because my brake over angle will be 6” above the crawler wait forever kit. And the Total Chaos arms will take more lateral g force. That drawn down crawler bottom arm. Is already cycling downward so when you get in a fast desert slide or turn. That design will flip your truck on its lid. IMO......... you want to just wamp through rocks get the crawler kit. You want super tall ass kicking rock crawling desert rig you might want to take the red pill. The easy button on the shocks would be to drop them off at king and have the shafts lengthened 5 1/4 inches. I’ll see what Fabtech shocks are measuring up tomorrow. But so far this is a seamless mate of these two products this crazy system will bolt up in your back yard. 63FD7587-CF31-4521-AB1F-A810935B8781.jpg 92C81002-49AC-4424-8F5C-2B5190394B9A.jpg0948E00D-2BC6-4020-AEF1-BD25256E29E5.jpg 06C819EB-8C34-4C19-8906-BB9CC0AD0B24.jpg B0BCBF2C-906A-4129-A2EC-866CA4E90223.jpg
