I have nothing today though. So what have I done for myself lately?

 

OP, what I did in my ‘16 and hope to do in my ‘02 Tundra at some point is thus:

de-pin a 12v socket connector to female spades
Add heat shrink (red for power, black for ground
Connect to high current relay
Fused battery power into the cab to maxi fuse holder in the kick panel.
Then you have fused power from the battery and ignition switched power too, up to the limit of the high current relay or fuse which gives you plenty to work with. Add a blue sea fuse block or two where space permits, no waterproof concerns.
Photos in my build log. I used space under the cupholders. My ‘02 Tundra, being a bench seat, is a tougher challenge. I may well just ditch all the airbags and use that space inside the dash behind the glove box. Or the space behind the driver seat. We will see.

 

Thank you... I definitely don't want to run an unfused connection. I was hoping for more of a quick hidden and clean approach with a some spend, but it looks like I'm rolling up the sleeves at this point but saving a few $$.
