It's gonna cost more than the original $45 bucks to reverse that project if you ever wanted to. I think you should have saved... But overall doesn't look baaaad

Great job and turned out excellent!! When you factor in the price for color matched paint the fiberglass one's are way too much money. Your's look as good or better and are a fraction of the price. The black goes very well with your other black accents.

Looks great! I may consider doing tis myself and I would probably paint over the plasti-dip with color matched paint so that I could peel it off later if I want. Great job,

 

I am definitely gonna do this and +1 for the great idea. Might try to maybe rattle can color match on top of the plasti-derp. I should still just peel off.........I think. Gonna try it out on a piece of scrap plastic first.

Great easy mod. Not perfect but for less than 10 bucks I can't complain. MarinePhoenix2207 damn good idea.

 

came out nice, what did you do to get the edges sharp? on the OP's the bottoms look kind of blurred.

Thanks. Well that was the hard part. When the plasti-dip is still wet you have to carefully cut along the edge of your stencil. I used a ground down base guitar pick, and an exact o knife. The key is to cut your line before it starts to get tacky but not to early where its still wet enough to run. Then when you peel back the stencil do it very slowly, cut anything that sticks with the knife.
