Well, I took mine for the 5K service and they checked the transmission on my 2017 Limited 4x4 and it was a half quart low. They did say that the latest update was already installed in the transmission but that there might be an update in the future to resolve some of my other issues. Has anyone heard when the magical REV 2 is being released?

What'd you get? I picked up a 17 Limited CrewMax Tundra and it is light years better.

I could not be happier. Turns out the dealer does this routinely.

I have to say that after I've had the fluid added, it runs pretty well. I've gotten as high as 27.5 mpg on a trip. I have to drive with close attention to the fuel use which means driving like gramps but it's not bad .. in fact, I love the truck ..

I know it’s probably been stated, but it’s 135 pages to go through. How do I know if my VIN is affected?

Just got a 2017 on Labor Day and seeing this scares me for the future of this truck.

According to Toyota engineers, that's within normal operating parameters.

Just had this done to my 2016. Fixed my delayed shift when going from P to R or D. Feels a little stronger on take off also, subtle but stronger.

Nope, free and they told me to plan for 2-3 hours but it was only about 45 minutes. But I was one of the first appointments of the day.

What was your reason for them to update it? I plan on taking it in one day soon.

Really the delayed shift from P to R or D. You would move the shifter but until you pressed the gas it would not go into gear and there was a jerk when it did.

    Fake news.

Well, it's one of this sites that puts out information about cars before they come out. It looks like it was written by a bot. Those have been online since I started shopping for my truck in late summer. The air around them is rife with the pungent odor of fertile male cattle excrement...
