Yes it is under the tsb. I've attached the file. Your numbers/letters "CZ5AN" are in the recall listed on top right under Additional information.

Wow, thanks! So the service manager lied to me, awesome. I will be printing this and taking it to them. I'll update after I find out something. Thanks again!

Yes 6cyl. auto. Maybe he did. I'll go in calmly and give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

look up the VSD code for your truck at www.vindecoderz.com, you'll have to put in your vehicle ID. Then see if it's in the TSB
    it's a prefix of A, B, C, D, R and S with Z5 after them - look it up, it's on this site. Many dealers are uninformed.

For those of us who have TIS Techstream, is there something we can look at to see what software version is on the truck? Mine is a '17 Pro that was built in early December.

So at this point I would be skeptical if he checked your trans fluid at all. They normally need it over night or at least 6+ hours to let the tranny get down to temp. About the TSB, bring him that pdf. and he should not have anything to stand on in terms of getting that update. If any resistance in both checking fluid and getting the TSB I would 100% call Toyota corp and open a ticket, mention the Toyota dealership and manager. Good luck

It's not a recall because it only affects some and it's not safety. I just know it sure made a difference for me.

No, it is not a recall it is a Service Bulletin. Not everyone with "CZ5AN" is affected.

So sorry you are experiencing the stutter, shuddering , lunging, jumpy sensation. My 16 has had all the TSBs available , to date no correction or improvement in relations to stutter sensation, surely a corrective measure is in the works, fifth Tacoma , only one that hasn't lived up to stellar reputation. The third generation is selling at a brisk pace, Toyota has more large fish to clean, Tacoma issues on the back burner. Great for all you trouble free owners however there are real issues, free warranties( extender service agreements) telegraph real concerns for Toyota concerning 16/17 Tacomas. Look at your Toyota dealer's previously owned lot, mine has 4 16 and 17 Tacomas, guess why disatified owners. In Alabama AL.com has 195 16/17 Tacomas for sale, this is historic for such new Tacomas. As a note erratic shifting issues continue.

Yes, so to speak. The TSB handles some of the more general ,core functions of the transmission (and engine control as well). The TSB doesnt only address "normal" mode shift points and gear holding load values.

The dealership may not have had the stickers. I don't have one but the Techstream shows the TSB has been done.
