I am not sure if I am not looking for the right item, but I am looking for some sort of a T-Slotted Kayak Rack that mounts using the T-Slot.

Most of the racks are U shaped for the standard cross bars which I installed but it wasn't very strudy... any suggestions?

I’ve got a Victory 4x4 rack on my truck and shell with similar crossbars. I recently (yesterday) installed a set of the Yakima Hand Roll kayak bunks which clamp fairly well to the crossbars. I had my mind made up on the Yakima Big Catch with the T Slot kit (sold separate and out of stock for the last few months). Found these 75% off at a local store and couldn’t pass them up. Overall the Hand Roll seems to be sturdy and easy to load with my 60lb Ocean Kayak. Haven’t tried it with my Hobie Outback yet.

I would try to put a small pad of rubber between the cross bar and the bracket.
