    I have a 01 taco with 380k AT owned since new

    if it’s same trans - I am pretty familiar with it :)

    If I am remembering correctly it runs the A340F, which also if I remember correctly the taco does up till 98. I think its still a A340F up till 2nd gen, but different solenoids/sensors as they arent bolt in compatible.

    The motor is the same as your taco, but it has a egr, and a couple different sensors(like 4 wire tps).

    $5K is probably fair given what the market is right now. Like others have said there are a lot of mechanical parts carry-over between the smaller Toyota trucks/Tacoma's of that era and the T100. The only thing you have to be aware of are some T100-specific parts (mainly body parts from what I've seen) which are nearly impossible to get. Oh and don't slam the doors, that leads to broken door latches which are nearly impossible to get.
