    well yeah high speed stuff.

I find myself using 4lo more times than im using 4 high... so much better for precise movement on tight trails.

Yup, first one 1,2 geat t would pop out of gear... This trannyreverse died and I don't know why, all I know is it was a bitch to put into gear since I have installed and this morning I backed out of my drive way and got to work and went to back in and grind is all I got

    Hey hope everyones doin well
I know this is an older post, just trying to find out any info I can on doing the T56 swap. Already spoke with George at RSG about sourcing a trans and transfer case for my 4x4 taco. I also spoke to Gadget about getting the remaining parts for the swap kit, he just discontinued it for now so I may not be able to get all the necessary parts. Anyhow I am just curious if anyone has done a T56 swap recently on a 4x4, and if so, is there a shop in the country who specializes in these swaps and making any adapter hardware?
I am not a mechanic but love to wrench in my spare time and am also totally new to learning about transmissions let alone a swap like this. All the posts and experiences from everyone up here have never led me wrong, and this is where I first learned about doing this swap
So thanks for any time and info! It is appreciated

The hardest part to get, is the bell housing. Everything else can be sourced pretty easily.

If you can get the bell housing, then you'd be pretty golden. The next hardest thing would be having a crossmember welded up. Which isn't too hard for a fabricator.

Keep us posted on how this turns out. This will be exciting with the AWD setup.

I believe the main thing that you are missing, electronics wise, is the Dakota Digital box. This is to translate the T56 speed into the signal the the Speedometer uses.

The other electronic piece, which may be in the first link that I provided, would be the reverse lockout switch.

Otherwise, post up some photos. I'd like to see your AWD setup!!!
