    There are very few at dealerships here, new or preowned, and LOTS on the road lately. I was told that Toyota was holding off making them right now by a dealer, then CARS wiped out what inventory they had left. You can still get an 09 taco locally, but you might not have a choice about color, model, or package. I lucked out and found a preowned 09 with everything that I wanted and more. :D

    But that salesman didn't say why Toyota has slowed production. Anybody know? I think I'll google it . . .

    Wow. Surely they won't cut the Tacoma line entirely! :eek:

    glad i got my taco before this b.s. clunker program. And you guys are right - we will have a huge influx of repos in the coming months. Because someone has a 15yr old clunker barely running doesnt mean they'll be able to afford a new car payment. Hell i can't even imagine how many " illegals " have actually bought cars they can't afford. This will be a huge hit in the loan dept. of all the car manufacturers.
