BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Our dogs Maxine and Rocket started barking at 5:15am. My wife tells them it's ok go back to sleep. Rocket insisted I get up. As I head to the stairs there is a knock on the door and an LED flashlight shining through the frosted glass. I'm a risk taker (not) but opened the door and there is a young lady Police officer at our door.

She tells me my truck was broken into (odd I think-that's to good a service). Yup my driver door is open, again (second time in 2 months). She tells me to check the truck for anything missing; again the Einsteins missed the change holder with $1.12 in it. I told the Officer I left the door open because I'd rather them not break the glass and go through that hassle; she actually agreed with me.

To make a long story short; the neighbor was up and saw these PUNKS rummaging through his truck and called 911. BINGO, SUCKERS!

These IDIOTS have been terrorizing our Town for YEARS; not anymore!

Have a nice stay in the slammer, SUCKAS

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I told the Officer I left the door open because I'd rather them not break the glass and go through that hassle; she actually agreed with me.

I would leave my old truck unlocked all the time.
    1. the glass issue you mentioned.
    2. I left nothing in it of any value.
    3. it was a manual shift Dakota. If they could drive it they could have it.

Got my truck broken in to last month. They took my GPS and a digi cam but left my $120 surefire, $200 sunglasses, check book, and $30 in my change box. I wasn't too upset, I have a habit of leaving the truck unlocked and windows down.

If I found them trying to break into my truck, I would probably have shot them.
