Hello, I've made a few comments in Dakota's build recently, so i recognize a few names in here :D

My name is Noah, I'm 18 and have a 2009 DCLB that my parents helped me out on, so far only have lift and tires but working on armor and possibly rtt for summer camping road trip! I read a lot of crap on here that makes me wish i hadn't quit my job during hockey season.... oh well lol :D

Hey Brian, that steering wheel wander we PMd about for a minute is mostly fixed with a road force balance. Still a really miniscule amount, but tire shop said next step is replacing all of the tires and I'm kind of timid about starting over. Maybe I'll wait until the rear lift is installed (finally) and I up the preload in the front. I'm sure I'll be chasing vibes at that point, but hopefully not.

Interesting I haven't heard of that before but just watched a video on it, so basically its saying that the tire needs to be rotated on the rim and it will ride better?

That's my understanding, yes. The week before the road force I went in for a rebalance (still under 2500 miles on these tires) and 3 of them were off balance at 2 months +/- since mounting. I had issues from Day 1, so I assume they didn't balance them properly in the beginning. :notsure:

They added more weight to 3 of them and it helped some, road force balance helped a little more. Issues now are minimal and steering feel is improved (since the rebalance, hasn't changed with the road force).

huh, Ill have to take mine to a different shop and see if they balanced them with the proper amount of weight. How much was a road force balance if I may ask? Im also thinking a big part of it is I need new UCA's, with the height it just isn't in spec for some reason. And next time I have an oil change done ill ask them to do a front end inspection.

It was free since I had a warranty. Another member here in NorCal paid $85 or so IIRC, and dealer wanted $265 or something crazy.

Could help a little bit for you, but not sure. You have more lift than I do and my alignment is all good, but anyway, it helped with my issue quite a bit. Can't say for sure the road force was the cure, but I definitely needed rebalancing.
