eh stainless looks like shit after it's been through a few heat cycles anyways so I won't feel too bad if I go through with it.

I would say so; $800 for everything I posted.

It would need spindles, hubs, unit bearings, brakes, and shafts though, which won't be cheap to finish...but something something buy once cry once.

Working on the little truck has sparked my interest in working on the Tacoma again. I had a little bit of time today so I fixed my amp wiring and redid the way the horns are wired as well.

Posted the little pickup on Craigslist at 9pm last night, fielded a half dozen calls and about 30 texts and it was gone this morning....

Made some bucks and made room for another project :anonymous:

In the meantime I've ordered some LEDs for the taco dash, some stainless front brake lines, and a new passenger caliper.

No, I picked up a different one from U Pull N Pay. Had to do a lot of finessing with a BFH to get the hood support and fenders back in place so the hood would fit and so I could put a headlight in

My passenger caliper was stuck and needed to be replaced. @RockAuto had a deal on braided stainless brake lines for $35/pair so I went ahead and did those too. I should have done both a LONG time ago.

I have been driving my car less and thinking about selling it and the taco to upgrade to a 3/4 ton pickup. Not sure. Just growing tired of both. The Tacoma only needs a new throw out bearing, headers fixed, muffler rewelded, rough idle diagnosed, dash lights fixed, seats replaced....

Fixed the horn (again). Looks like some water got in one of the connections and corroded the aluminum wiring that came with the Hella horns so I ran some new wire and made sure to heat shrink and electrical tape the connections. It's tucked pretty well now.

After a brief intermission for work travel I just finished wrapping up my 240v outlet install in the garage for my welder.

    IMG_20180505_110835.jpg

I need to rework the exhaust on the taco but I also have my eye on one of those CBI DIY front bumpers as an upcoming project...

HUGE thanks to @Martyinco for providing advice and fielding all of my dumb questions along the way :drunk:

Alrighty, this build now has some direction. Just picked up this Spidertrax 609 custom housing which takes a 9" third and Dana 60 knuckles. I also got a high pinion third with a Detroit and 4.56 gears. End goal is a low SAS on 35s-37s.

Oh, and I picked up some 33s (295/70/17) to get me through the summer wheeling season :anonymous:

I was until we were in a freeze and it broke on my garage. Ran it like that for 3-4 years without issues otherwise. It was annoying driving through parking garages :D

lol. I was just outside tuning my 2ft and after getting 1.5 on 1 and 2.0 on 40 I was thinking I would put my 4ft on and just leave it on. I like to pick up chatter on the highways sometimes vs radio listening.
