I’m saying she’s done and if not then will never be the same again. I’m predicting a bidding war for the wheels.

    Definitely totalled.
I suspect the Plow Driver looked up the wrong definition.
Should be an interesting situation. Explaining.

its totaled... not even close to saving. Make sure you can get your mods off. I would start truck hunting (if you know you want a tacoma again) and get it asap.

Insist on totaling it. The value of these trucks are high so depending on their insurance you should get expected replacement of the truck on the high side. Get a lawyer if they lowball you. Say you want at minimum an exact replacement if they won't settle with cash. You won't get money from any mods though.

Toast & don't let the insurance company spend 80% of the replacement cost fixing it

It will never be the same after waiting 4 months to get it back from the body shop.

you can’t just tell an insurance company what to you. i know you’d like to, but it doesn’t work that way.

no but you can submit cost for replacement vehicles and make a good case for a fair amount. like anything in life there are no guarantees.

A couple years ago a City Garbage Truck plowed into a parked Tacoma, dragged it around and left the scene. The owner of the truck found out what happened from Surveillance cameras, but the City refused to pay. The truck owner got the local news to cover the story and the City finally offered to only pay the deductible on the guys insurance.

Totaled. The door sill and the pillars are made of ultra high strength (and thin) steel. Cannot be straightened or welded without compromising the strength.
