Submit a list of any upgrades (like the speakers) you have done to her insurance company and place a value on them the same as what it would cost you to put them in the replacement. Don't settle for their first offer, you are in the power position as you can sue (or threaten to) if necessary to get back what you lost.

Oh to be young again. Hmmm, I might just pay those higher insurance rates again to drive the vehicles I drove and the way I used to drive.

At this point my insurance has no say in whether I take my speakers or not. If they pay me the replacement costs they can have them. If they don't I'll go get them. The truck is currently sitting at a body shop of which is owned by a friend of mine's dad. I have not released the vehicle to Statefarm because they are trying to lowball me and offer 30,090 for a DCLB TRD OR. They tried to compare it with a long bed SR5 and 3 short bed limiteds. I made them expand their search nationwide because there are no comparable TRD OR's in my area. I found 4 comparables nationwide while on the phone with them and they were average $33k. I told them due to my mileage and the cheapest found being $32,500 that I'd take $31k plus taxes and the aftermarket speakers. Waiting on them to get back with me.

Isn't that about a $40K truck when new?!?! I'd think it would be closer to $35K now!

I’m sorry to hear about your loss... I saw your pictures and my first thought was... inferno - don’t they say those are like a big bullseye on the road? Oh, didn’t see you! (There are other threads that seem to make light of this.) May your next Taco be a supreme.
