Taco frame question, slightly lifted in the rear?

So I bought a 2014 Taco used knowing it had been in a rear end accident. There didnt look to be any frame damage but the hitch is bent. They eye ball test shows me that as well as a bubble level.

Question is though when I put the level on the frame it seemed like it was slightly tilted up towards the tail gate area, is this normal? I am definitely a novice with vehicles so I have no idea if frames are normally completely flat or not.

Also I may not be measuring it from the best place but it seemed like in the middle of the rear brace it was flat and sloped outwards towards each side. Again not sure if this is normal.

Hoping I do not have a frame issue and it is just the hitch but any assistance is appreciated.

Stock most trucks including the tacoma will have some forward rake, meaning the rear sits higher than the front. This is due to the purpose of a truck, that is to put heavy things in the bed, and when doing so the rear suspension will compress. Its also for that reason why i never understood why anyone would do a leveling kit.

Anyways, yup your hitch is def bent or twisted down. You might be able to loosen all the bolts that hold it onto the frame and rotate it up to level with the little bit of slop all the holes have.

That hitch doesn't appear to be the OEM one. I'm assuming it's some aftermarket one. You might keep an eye out in your area for a cheap take-off. A lot of people get rid of the heavy rear hitch when they move to an aftermarket bumper. I gave mine to a friend who does random fab work for people. He figures he can use it for something.

I've seen them for free on my local buy/sell/trade (BST) thread as well. Good luck with the truck!

Awesome thanks for the info on the rake piece, I had no idea. I love that I may be able to loosen and rotate, will give that a go as soon as I am done with work. If not I will just buy a new one I hate I must spend the money but oh well better than a bent frame.

Id take a looksee and see if the frame or the hitch is bent. If the hitch is only slightly bent with no structural damage you could likely just a floor jack under that long extension you have and bend it back.
