    Very easy install! Just watched a video that was for the 3rd gen and it was done in about 10 minutes. Just need to see how it holds up while driving now.

    Install was easy. Only issue I ran into was the center back plate. There are tabs that prevent the plate from fitting (see photo). Sounds like it may only be an issue for 12-15 Tacoma’s. Anyway, I just used two bolts for the center without the back plate. Don’t think I’d ever need the additional mounts anyway.

    Also, to ensure the top mounting plate is center, I lined up the very middle hole of the mount with the back middle tab on the trim.

    So that center piece might need to be made for 2012-2015 specifically. Are all 12-15 like that? I bought one trim priece off eBay that I could have sworn was OEM to test that but it didn’t have that....
    I’ll start working on that, that also means it’s gonna have to have one less mounting location.6 should still be good enough.

    Not sure if all are like that but I would lean towards yes. I feel like the average person would use maybe 3-4 mounts, max. And not problem, thank you.

    We found a couple of details we have to iron out before full production so I'm fixing that now but I will still be releasing this soon, the updated design will be done by the end of the month and production will likely start at January, I am shooting for a Feb 1st Launch.

    I have an OEM vent surround and stereo surround that I am pulling off this weekend if you are interested. I was going to put them up for sale for somebody wanting to custom paint there own color. Let me know if it would help. It is off a ‘14.

    It should, but you should use as short an arm as possible to avoid vibrations. so far we’ve only done some short term testing though I can’t make absolute claims yet.
