Ok that makes far more sense. Upgrading Germes to eTune 3.0 shouldn't work for 2020 Tacomas as the wiring harnesses are different. At least that was my case because the harness for eTune 2.0 were incompatible with my 2020 Tacoma.

I'd like to see a pic.
I do have a 35 dollar credit to spend at Taco garage though. Would the bracket be easier on the pro grill?
Was anyone able to find the front camera bracket on Tacoma garage's website.

How do I but The front camera bracket from your website. I have a $35 credit to use from the pre-order. Is there a special code for that?

Ok, maybe I’m just tired, but I’ve read through 48 pages of posts and now my head hurts. Can somebody please link me to the lowest cost solution kit that includes the necessary controller, cables and a front camera that works plug and play with the 2020 Tacoma head unit. I know I know, I’m gonna be labeled as being lazy for not reading everything again to figure it out, but I am just completely perplexed at this point.

I appreciate that, but I see that they are only showing preorder at this point. I did see this other one referenced as well, but it appears to be just a toggle switch interface and not as integrated into the existing controls. Is my interpretation pretty accurate there?

Just checking and since I didn’t see it or I missed it, the +6 and -6 volt wires are not used right? I only need to deal with the +12 and -12 volt from Garmes box and red cable going to camera harnes splitter box. Also is the little box in pic used for anything? Thanks.

Edit- found that is the cable I want. Gonna go ahead and order that. $10 bucks to save on frustration of fishing a larger cable end through that seal, I’ll take it!

Thanks, is this the “dash cam rear view backup” linked in the products discussed the one your talking about? I decided to hold off on doing it today since it would have just been too hot. Maybe I can get to it one morning or evening when it’s cooler.

Really interested in installing the front mount camera system but for a couple of hurdles to ponder

    1) has anyone tried to fish the rca cable other than thru the big rubber grommet with that huge bundle of wires? has anyone gotten the rca wire thru the grommet behind the brake booster? i know it's hard to get at and probably to reinstall after getting it thru but... .

    2) trying to get ahold of that bracket for the TRD SPORT/OR grill

the remainder of the install just seems to be plug and play

I think most people use the grommet on the passenger side, which has very few wires. That's what I did.

Here's what I did. I punched a hole in the rubber grommet, pushed the RCA cable from the INSIDE of the cab to the outside. That is far easier than trying to push the camera side RCA cable end from the engine bay.

I didn't want to wait for the bracket so I went ahead and mounted my camera below the T and O.
