The Stock knob sucks, the TRD Pro is cool but expensive and also not that special.
Our knobs are a fresh new design and they are customizable in a couple of ways.
The knobs are machined from solid aluminum and assembled in house.
The body is anodized flat black and the top center of the knob is an The button itself is customizable. If you buy a standard shift knob, the button functionality can easily be added on later but you will en up paying more by buying separately.
The color and the design on the button cap can be customized. We have a few standard colors and designs and custom/personalized caps are available at an additional cost.

Added bonus... These eliminate the chrome ring at the bottom of the shift knob! Custom designs on the cap are an additional $50 for a single cap but if you have a group and all of you want the same logo, subsequent caps with that same design are only $10 additional.
Custom anodizing colors are 120 for a single cap and go down from there if you or a group want a few of the same color.

[EDIT] BUTTON FUNCTIONALITY is now complete, the knob does not change, the upgrade is all inside the knob so no changes in appearance if you want to upgrade later.

Yes, and no...
We are already working on that, we are making an addition to the knob that will incorporate the switch, the goal is to be able to offer an upgrade that will allow you to convert the cap on this knob to a fully functional button, so far it looks like that will come in the form or two additional sections one that bolts to the bottom of the knob inside of the boot (so, invisible) and one that extends the top cap upwards, enough to give the cap some space to actually depress and actuate the switch. We will be shipping the knobs in their "upgradable" state so that if you do wish to add the button functionality you will be able to do so when we release that.

 

The knob has a groove in the bottom section, the boot wraps around that groove (inside out), then its fastened and reversed so that the attachment remains hidden. It is kind of hard to explain with words... I'll get some pictures. It's very easy though.

 

I like how the leather cover butts right up to the knob but the knob looks wider than the top of the leather cover on my factory knob???

Also can you get the insert black with no engraving?

 

It looks like that but it fits fine, its a little snug, on purpose.
And yes they top cap can be blank as well. I added the option on the site.

Is the shift knob the same for second gens?

 

How much does this knob weigh? For those of us with manuals that want to increase the weight of the knob from the factory unit.

Also will the boot be attachable to the manual knobs like the autos are? If not will you offer a black out cap like others have used to cover the chrome trim ring? I've looked and only found one guy on Etsy printing black cap trim ring that covers the manual shift boot but he wants 30 dollars...which to me seems crazy.

 

He quoted his response from the manual question... So I'd assume he'd want the manual shift pattern...

I believe it is, second gens don’t have a boot though so they would get a slightly different bottom top should be the same.
