I'm getting sick of the boot popping off the Teton Workshop shifter every single day.

We made some improvemmets after the pictures… so the one I have on hand isn’t exactly what yours will be. I’ll upload pictures ASAP.

 

I’ve seen that shifter and I like it but I don’t know how the boot attaches. I’ll look into it.

@FreshMexicanTaco so any updates on production and shipping on these? I actually placed my order 1-13 and had one other item along with the shift knob. I feel like I could have been sent that item at least by now…also sent an email to customer service on 2-15 which was never replied to…

 

I’ll make sure we send that other item out today. The Knobs are not ready to ship just yet though. Right now anodizing is what is holding production back for this and some of the other stuff that we make. There’s no problems they’re just backed up.

 

I'm interested but still waiting on pics of bottom of the knob to show how the boot is attached. Thanks!

The knob on this video is a fully functional one it’s only missing the boot attachment piece at the bottom and it’s obviously bare, but I couldn’t wait any longer I had to show you.

 

Good news and bad news....
Let me start this by saying that ANYONE who has placed an order is more than welcome to ask for a refund if you feel like you've waited long enough, otherwise, keep reading...

The button functionality is now complete and we have been testing it for a little bit, everything seems to be working fine so we are going to go ahead and make that option available to TW members as of today. HOWEVER, the knobs cannot be shipped out yet. Our coaters have been taking longer than usual to finish up the work but they have been very good in terms of quality so we don't want to change that we hope you understand, we would rather wait a bit longer than compromise quality. Standard knobs (without button functionality will be shipping out first, at this point the best ETA we can get is another 2 weeks before the coating is complete, we are paying an expedite fee to try and get them back sooner, I'll keep you updated as best as I can.

If you would like to add button functionality to your existing knob pre-order we are going to give you a special price, the "upgrade price will be around $30 when released as a standalone package, but if you want to add it to your pre order we will just charge an additional $10 and your knob will ship with button functionality, but we will have to add another 1-2 weeks of wait because we are also waiting for the buttons to come in. Obviously if everything works and we can get everything sooner, we will ship sooner.

 

For those wanting to know how the boot attaches, the lower part of the knob has a groove where the boot slides over and is zip tied, then the boot is pulled back down, hiding the zip tie and maintaining a tight grip while eliminating the chrome ring at the bottom. BTW... this is the same way the OEM chrome ring is attached to the boot from the factory.

 

How do you get the boot inside out? Can just the boot be removed from the console or does the console need to come out to get to the underside of it?
I ask because id hate to get my new shift knob only to realize I've gotta remove the console just to attach the boot.
