    I didn’t read all 30 pages but is there any product where it’s a wire bundle that will connect to the 12v cigarette lighter just behind the dash/face plate and have it split into 2 usb female connectors? Similar to the OEM power tailgate lock. It doesn’t require any splicing of wires.

    The trick would be to install the piece flush and hidden otherwise it will not look clean.

    I did see someone drill a larger whole and run a cable through the DMM RAIL, but then you will have wires sticking up all the time

    I have been looking around for an adapter harness that connects between the cigarette lighter and the factory harness to have an additional 12 Volt lead, nothing comes up. I cringe when I think about using an add a tap. I figure I have one of those plug in voltage readers with 2 usb ports. I plan to just drill a hole through the blank switch bay and run the power to the 2 usb ports.

    I was thinking of taking some insulated blade connectors and just plugging it between the cigarette lighter and using the blade ends to plug in the factory harness plug. Run a extra pair of wire on one end for 12 volt power.
