    Lol. I have mine in a Scosche mount and it’s never fallen. But... it does rest on the dash. Just ordered a kit though, looking to put an old phone with OBD fusion on it. So I’m going the opposite direction. We’ll see how it goes.

    Has anyone added another usb port for charging somewhere on the mount? If so how did you go about it. Im thinking about installing this or going with the expedition essentials mount with usb mounts already on it. What are the main differences between this and expedition essentials.

    You can run them behind the dash if you like. But IMHO a wire coming out of the top of the dash looks nasty.

    Installed my dmm with ball and short and stubby mount tonight. Simple install and quality product!!! I'm going to be using it to mount a phone and tablet for now.

    Unfortunately due to me not researching, I ordered thr short and stubby mount and it will not work for what I want to use it for. If anyone has a 1" ball mount that want to trade hit me up.

    This mount is rock solid!!!
