What’s the difference between v1 and v2? Mine shipped 9/13. Link on website for v1 PDF wasn’t working.

It’s an easier installation, the hardware is a little different. I will send you the pdf, PM me your email address please.

I also use the swivel I love it. I use landscape for a lot of things and before this one it was a pain in the ass to have to loosen the arm to get it to rotate. No more.

    Yes it will!
The holders come with various length legs that make it very versatile. The note 9 will definitely fit. Even with a case (although I haven’t tried it) but i know how much the holder opens so you should be ok. I’ll give you a refund if it doesn’t.

I'm not sure about other radios, but this is the only one I've used. It uses a belt style clip on the back of it to mount. The picture below shows what the back of the radio looks like. I have a simple mount for it on my FJ that's mounted to the dash with double-sided tape, but I wanted an option to utilize the Ram mount on my DMM in the Taco.

I ended up discovering this Ram mount while I was bored at work today. I ordered it from Amazon and then ordered another Ram ball setup from your site. I'll post a pic after I get everything installed.

Just hoped on the sale and ordered myself a dmm and phone holder setup. I think this is the cleaniest setup by far, can’t wait to get it!

Love it, super simple install, nice and sturdy, also very clean look. Holds my pixel 2xl without issue.IMG_20181003_172617.jpg IMG_20181003_172714.jpg IMG_20181003_173506.jpg

    I got a UV-5R recently:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MAULSOK

This was posted in another thread or maybe the original DMM thread:
    https://squareup.com/store/KCK/

I wasn't thrilled with the metal construction (overkill?) but the price is pretty good. Although it does require more parts for it to attach, whether directly to the DMM or to an arm.

Funny enough, when we met up for a bit of offroading, the other folks mentioned that the UV-5R fits perfectly in the RAM X grip. That was the setup that I used, DMM and two X grips. It worked perfectly. I did not install the belt clip on the back of the radio and used the PPT earpiece all day.

So, you might want to try mounting the radio in the phone holder that your have, one of the holders that @FreshMexicanTaco sells, an X grip, or the one that I lined above.

I can snap a pick of my radio later if any body would like to see it?

    Hey, Will.

    Sorry for the OT!

I am curious about your XL2. I have an original XL and am going back and forth about the new XL3. I am secretly hoping all the leaks and stolen deliveries were a massive stealth PR campaign. I don't care about the notch in the least but am very curious about the hardware specs. How is yours holding up? Mine is doing okay, but the battery is probably 1/4 of what it was new, the phone is slowing down, esp with some of the basic apps, and I think I lost NFC / google pay functionality dealing with the back glass (twice).

How's has the smaller back glass been for you? It looks like the whole XL3 will be glass. That has me slightly worried. I would honestly prefer the XL2 design (don't care about wireless charging) or a more durable plastic material. I had some Galaxies before the Pixel and liked the plastic bits for drops and no case but hated the bloatware. So, I'm kind of thinking about holding out and snagging an XL2 in a few months, depending.

    What's your thoughts?

    Thanks!

I thought this was the best design I saw on TW for a phone mount. The installation was easy for me and after my first 35 miles of driving I am very satisfied. Great design and thanks for making these available to us.
