I will have that instructions url up and running as soon as I can, but yes there’s a little bit of easy work including drilling that has to be done. Nothing hard, nothing major, but most importantly nothing that will be visible. The DMM remains out of sight as long as you don’t bolt anything to it.

@FreshMexicanTaco how do the Ram balls mount to the DMM? Are the holes on the DMM threaded to where the Ram ball simply screws in? From the picture is doesn't appear the DMM holes are threaded which is why I'm asking. If not threaded do you have to drill a hole for each of the DMM holes?

The Ram mount does bolt into the DMM, the holes DO have threads and yes you need to drill a hole for each one of the holes unless you know that you are only going to use 1 of the holes in which case you only drill that one and the anchor holes, which hold the top and bottom plates together. Its easier to understand with pictures I know, sorry, I will have that installation page running pretty soon.
Also for practical purposes that I can explain in detail later, the holes and threads are 10-32 which is not a standard RAM bolt so you have to use a RAM ball with a trough hole and bolt it down with a 10-32 screw (which I am including with all purchases)

@FreshMexicanTaco Thanks for the reply. I'm not wanting to drill holes for each of the hole in the DDM for Ram ball mounts. Why do holes need to be drilled if the DMM itself are threaded? Is it because of the thickness of the DMM itself not being thick enough? A couple of the other examples folks have made for this idea had the plate itself thick enough to accept the Ram ball mounts that are 0.25" in length.

The threaded part is underneath the dash that’s why you need a hole, I could make the plate thick and thread it but then it really doesn’t look as good, plus, without drilling the holes you don’t get such a structurally sound assembly. Accessories would vibrate a lot more and the vibration can eventually be cause for even worse damage. Kind of like when tall buildings are constructed, you need a deep foundation for the building to stay upright. My mount is VERY strong. Whatever is mounted on it will sit pretty still. The top and bottom plates spread out the load pretty evenly they way they are set up. Having something heavy connected to something that thick, that just sits on top of that dash is not very sturdy. And it’s kind of an eye sore if you ask me. My mount is invisible unless you want to make use of it.
Again pictures are worth a million words so keep an eye out, I’ll have them up soon

Great mount! I would have to say OP hooked it up. Very clean and flush.
Drilling and minor modification, of course, is needed. But for the structural stability, it’s expected. (If you do not know how to use a power tool or too afraid to drill a few holes holes, this is not for you)
I originally was looking for something to mount my phone to, and I’ve tried all other solutions (cd insert magnet; double sided 3m magnet mount; vent mounts), they all failed. So I have to give it up him for coming up with this solution.
I just ordered the attachment mount for the ram ball off Amazon, so I’m excited to get that in. Even without any other attachments, it looks great! Legit&discreet.
    Thanks again OP!
