Couple of quick picture to show that the iPad mount does fit largest iPad. In the pictures the iPad is mounted way too high. I have a longer arm that will drop it down out of drivers line of sight. Everything is very secure and I know I'm going to enjoy this mod.IMG_1449[1].jpg IMG_1450[1].jpg IMG_1452[1].jpg

All DMM orders placed up until yesterday (10/2/18) have been shipped already, delivery takes about 3 days depending on destination.

Damn you for making clever solutions. Take my money. :spending:

Just to make sure I’m understanding the install, you don’t have to take the trim off to install additional ball mounts down the road as long as the holes are already drilled, right? So I can pre drill the holes during install to allow for expansion down the road?

Yep! Drill all the holes to allow repositioning of the RAM balls. You don't have to remove the trim afterward.

One piece of advice. I use RAM moubts at work and have mounted tens of thousands of comm untis with them.

Keep the arms as short as you can and it helps avoid vibration. These thinigs are great for mounting just about anything you need.

I will get some pics up soon now that I got mine installed! It is holding a tablet and a ham radio at the moment and will have dual phone mounts soon.

Very handy! Installation was simple and straightforward. Only recommendation would be to bevel down the edge on the end. Might rub cables there. I will have all mine in Wireloom eventually so no biggie.

Thanks for the very fast delivery!

Purchased one of these a while back and finally got around to installing it. I initially used to drop my phone in the QI charger, but was unhappy with the heat produced and the fact that when my phone 'buzzed' I had to look down and take my eyes off of the road. I next tried a holder that clipped onto the driver's side middle air vent. I was unhappy with that because I lost a vent and now my phone was getting blasted with cold air. I became worried about condensation occurring inside the phone (warm, moist air and a cold aluminum case). Finally I stumbled across this product.

I have worked in production line/contract manufacturing for 18 years, and I have to say this is one of the best made (and useful) items I have bought for my truck. The quality and attention to detail is great. Using things like capture nuts on the back plates instead of just drilling and tapping the holes show this is a quality product. If you want to mount anything (phone, radio, tablet, GPS, etc) to an eye level pat of the dash, then this is the kit you need. With the right hardware it will hold just about anything securely and gives you the flexibility to place it in an optimal location.

Just did a rig walk around with Michael from Overland Bound today on a DD that converts to an overland rig. Gave props to you @FreshMexicanTaco for your design as one of the cornerstones of my set up. The video will post Sunday night on Overland Bound’s YouTube channel
