I’m sorry if it’s been posted but what’s the length on this? I have something mounted up there and curious if it will interfere.

Thanks for the awesome idea again. Ended up with the same Scosche Qi charger and drilled the back and mounted the same Ram Mount. I used #6 screws instead of bolts and nuts and they were 1/2” long. Added 2 washers per screw and also a layer of 3M double sided tape underneath. The screws barely went beyond the housing but very snug. Working great so far!!

Dashtop Multi-Mount!, Pro grille, snug top, Kings BFGs, Front and rear view camera anytime, CMC, prinsu and more to come!
Swivel kit VS. Static kit mounting option for the DMM and DSM
I think it's easier to see the difference on video.

I've been trying to find a set of these fairly priced in black. Torx head or something. Didn't want standard.

These will be cheap if bought in bulk, I can do that and pass them on to you guys and new orders, do you have a specific link?

I spent a lot of time searching and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. All called different things. Some listed as ultra low profile, flat head, micro profile
I was looking for something like this in 10-32.
    https://www.fastenright.com/general-fixings/TX-aluminium-coloured-micro-profile-head-screws/mph05

This was the closest I found.

So these came with my Scosche Qi charger and are rubber and very small. Wondering if anyone has found any cable management that is very minimal and sleek like these. Not trying to buy Hondos clips for $20. Did a search and still couldn’t find anything similar. What are you using for cable management?

Anyone used DMM or RAM track on 2nd gen? Like over the media console?

Awesome solution....however, is there a solution to wire a larger "opening" on it? I have no issues drilling one out but there could be a solution to make ONE hole bigger to allow for the passage of cables.

I would suggest that the CENTER area of the DMM would work perfectly but many folks would not like that.

    Hey there,

Tried reading through the whole thread but didn't make it - quick question:

    How solid is this mount?

I'm looking at using Hondo phone mount (from motorcycle) and eventually the big Hondo mount for tablets.

Does the DMM hold these mounts with devices solid or do you find there's some vibrating/movements when driving washboard?

(Yes, all on the assumption ram mounts are locked down properly etc.)

The Expedition Essentials Track Mount alternative looks more sturdy if I'm not mistaken. It partly mounts to the radio mounting points right?

Seems like DMM relies entirely on the plastic radio bezel for support whereas the EE alternative has a more solid foundation.

Don't get me wrong, this is much more elegant, but I'm a stickler for sturdy.

I don't use a tablet, but it is firm for my xl phone. The mount sandwiches the trim with metal, so it has a lot of stability.

Try torquing on the trim piece. That should give you a feeling for the sturdiness of the mount. It seems very solid for my phone and SHOULD be plenty sturdy for a tablet.
