Taco Garage - Dashtop Multi-Mount (DMM) - Securely mount ANYTHING to your dash

I think the DMM thing uses the odd size 10-32 balls. Most of the one's iv'e seen on Amazon were all 1/4-20.

I know when I "made" mine I threaded it and used a 1/4-20 ball.

 

The balls from Taco Garage are still the standard 1/4-20 flavor, he just uses a stepped bushing in the 1/4 hole to drop down to 10-32 SHCS for attachment.

The screw used in this setup is a 10-32 as mentioned by previous folks.

Or at least, that is what was included with the DMM I purchased, no additional kits or hardware bought.

 

So in essence, the series 20 ball from 67 designs would work if I found a shorter 10-32 screw. Per my discussion with 67 designs the interior or the ball is not threaded.

the DMM is nice because if you removed the mounting balls, you would never know it was there.

I got 2 balls and the DMM for $52.50 with the group buy. I also got the Anti-Chrome rings from @MESO for still a lot less than that one mount. Just saying, might be worth a couple weeks wait for the DMM.

hahaha. You drive the #1 selling truck and complain about improvements not meeting demand?! Seriously?! Look at how many of the users are waiting for parts still from @MESO to meet demand. All of these creators make some awesome stuff like Taco Garage. These are small business owners who are doing the best they can.

there is a BBQ place here in Denver that sells bbq till they sell out. Which they do everyday. People wait in line so they don’t miss it. Same for the awesome wanton truck that people will wait 2 hours for. Sometimes quality is worth the wait.

it's a side job for him not his main gig. give the guy a break. if you don't like it, be creative enough to fab your own. it's not rocket science.

Can't wait to get this installed. Been a RokForm guy for a long time, and the way I've liked to mount them just doesn't work in a Tacoma. So stoked I found this and can't wait to get it installed this weekend. Will also be attempting to replace the tacoma power adapter with a Dual USB Socket & Garage Door mod. My plan is to tuck the original aux port behind the dash and replace it with an AOB Garage door switch. Inspired by a lot of the replies on here.

 

Got my DMM installed this weekend. supply chain disruption really put a damper on my instant gratification. my ram ball will be here Wed though. Still very pleased with this mod. highly recommend.

If you don't have a #10 bit handy, then drill the 3/16 holes with the DMM mounted. Then take it off and go through the holes with the 13/64. I also had to trim a little by two tabs to tighten a couple nuts on the backside, and the notches for charging cables. But that was real easy to do with a dremel or similar tool using one of the carving bits.

 

Any update on 2nd gen DMM?
