Taco Garage - Dashtop Multi-Mount (DMM) - Securely mount ANYTHING to your dash

Thank you everyone who has supported the shop in one way or another, including the DMM.
I have been really busy lately not only at The Taco Garage but in my own personal life as well, lots of stuff happening. That has unfortunately had the side effect of me not being able to spend as much time as I would like logged in here to answer all of your questions, HOWEVER, TW is a very important community for me and the shop so even though I may not be here every day, I am now going to have someone logged in here daily to help answer all of your questions, concerns and provide as much advice as we possibly can.
The account is under the handle @TheTacoGarageServiceRep, the team member handling that is Ney and she will be logging in daily from Tuesday to Saturday. She is physically in the shop so even if she doesn't know an answer of the top of her head she'll be able to figure things out with the rest of us.

Ordered today, tired of vent setup and wanted a gps mount also.

 

Hi, I placed an order on the 6th, reached out to you via contact form/email, and haven't received a reply about shipping concerns and order status. How long does it typically take to ship once order is placed? Thanks.

 

When I ordered parts from him. About a week or so.

 

In my experience I found the only reliable way to contact them was via telephone.

 

Great info thank y'all. I'm on the road exploring and placed an order in hopes I'd get it in before I head to the next place. Figured 10 days would be long enough to receive a pkg lol. It's only been 4 but figured I'd have seen a status update. I'll check the site and call, thanks again.

I’m on day 7 with no feedback since my order, not real pleased. Going to hold out a little longer and hope things move forward, however I probably won’t go in this direction next time.

 

That stinks, sorry to hear you're having the same issue. I didn't do much research on DMM style systems but RAM makes some great products after looking into their mounting system. Most of it is on Amazon too so you can have it in 1-3 days lol.

Glad I saw this - was going to order from the US site - but now I don't have to I live in Squamish - just up the road from you!

 

Received my dash mount and balls today, 10 days total time from ordering, to my door. Not too bad !

 

The guy is super fast with his processing and shipping. I ordered mine Wed night; shipped Thurs; arrived Monday (I live in BC too which helps for shipping speed). I got mine from order to receipt long before the folks above had their order shipped straight from the source lmao

I would have preferred if the @TheTacoGarageServiceRep would use images instead of having users go watch a 15 min youtube video. Or ANY written instruction, really. You could put the instructions on a post-it sized note and I would have greatly preferred that over a 15 min reference. Note, their install vid said to use a #10 drill bit, but I only have SAE bits (and metric wrenches; such is the life as a Canadian eh?); using 3/16 should be fine but will be ever so slightly smaller, so I just wiggled it around a bit so I wouldn't have to utterly reef on the set screw.

The how-to video is in my opinion overly perfectionist with the use of alignment screws and removing the vent thing; yet conversely is unnecessarily deleterious with needing to cut tabs to tighten the nuts in.

TL;DR
A- for the DMM product; great product, lacking in instruction, would like to see at minimum a list of the tools required (drill, wrench, allen key) on either a piece of paper, or on the product page.
A+ for @BCTSR5 ie the Northern Taco Shop

 

Good to know that he is quick to ship. I haven't got my truck yet but thought I might as well get some accessories that I want while I wait for the truck - then I can install everything at once

 

Finally saw that the DSM was in stock and just placed my order. I've been waiting a long time to order this. Can't wait to get it.
